Again they are widely accepted around the internet and they are becoming a worldwide standard for advertising web banners.

Web Banner Design Dimensions and Sizes

Web banners can be created to any size and therefore there are many different variations in size that you may find across the internet.

Fortunately there are only a key few that you need to be concerned with if you are looking to advertise online, however if you are looking for a more bespoke size, then we can cater for any web banner design criteria.

468x60 Web Banners

The most common web banners are the standard 468x60 pixel horizontal rectangular banners. These advertising banners can normally be seen nearer the top of most websites and are able to be used and uploaded in most online advertising strategies and campaigns including Google Adwords and many affiliate networks and schemes.

These types of banner are also available in a Half Banner size which are measured at 234x60 pixels. These half banners are less common and less widely accepted as standard web banners.

Skyscraper Web Banners

Again a very common range of advertising banner sizes. These web banners are long and thin and are normally located to the right or left of a websites main pages.

General Dimensions:

• Standard Skyscraper Banner - 120 x 600 pixels (most common)
• Wide Skyscraper Banner - 160 x 600 pixels
• Half-page Skyscraper Banner - 300 x 600 pixels (less common)

Leaderboard Web Banners

At 728x90 pixels, these web banners are much wider and slightly deeper than the standard web banner dimensions. They are less common and generally located at the top or bottom of a websites main content area.

Other General Web Banner Design Dimensions

There are several other less common sizes that fit within worldwide standardised banner dimensions. These again, are less common and are generally located in less prominent areas around a websites main content area.
